[REVIEW] Hetkinen Pine Lip Balm

This spring I feel so honoured to be collaborating with Hetkinen, a sustainable Finnish brand that I’ve loved for a while ever since I tried their salt soap, remember the one that looks like a snowball? I’ll be bringing you lots of product reviews and sharing their admirable ethos. I’m so excited to have been chosen as one of their ambassadors as everything that they represent really resonates with me.

First of all I want to share with you their Pine Lip Balm, this was their original product that started it all. I love the natural pine packaging, there’s something so tactile about it in your hand. They’ve even done away with labels and print directly onto the wood.

It’s a soft, creamy texture with a delicate pine scent that nourishes the lips but can also be used as a hydrating balm anywhere on the body. It’s not shiny and sinks in easily whilst still providing a protective layer. Lips feel comforted and soothed. Perfect for popping in a pocket or bag as it’s so small and lightweight.

The formula is vegan and cruelty free, combining shea butter, jojoba, baobab and coconut amongst other ingredients with natural pine essential oil and pine extract to create this super softening balm.

I think this has to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing and effective balms I’ve tried. I’m excited to introduce you to more from the range in the coming weeks as they have some really innovative and beautiful products. Have you had the pleasure of trying this minimal brand?
