[REVIEW] GOODAL Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Circle Eye Cream

Although I’m really not an eye cream person, I decided to give this GOODAL Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Circle Eye Cream a try because I do have pretty noticeable dark under-eye circles. I think the eye creams that are the most worthwhile are ones with active ingredients, like vitamin C or retinol. I already use prescription tretinoin, so a vitamin C eye cream like this one sounded perfect for me. The packaging feels nice, and the pump makes it easy to use.

Retail Price: $19.20 for 30 mL

1. Tangerine extract is the first ingredient
2. Niacinamide and arbutin
3. Vitamin C: 3-o-ethyl ascorbic acid and ascorbic acid polypeptide

My Experience:
The cream is nice and hydrating without being too heavy, and didn’t clog my pores. It didn’t cause any irritation despite the use of tangerine extract which made me a bit nervous initially. It does burn your eyes if it runs into them during the day, so use some caution with where you apply it.

I can’t say that I have noticed any difference in my dark circles. I’m not terribly surprised, because my dark circles aren’t due to pigmentation but rather underlying vasculature. Most of the ingredients in this product target fading hyperpigmentation. Although vitamin C can increase collagen production and eventually improve the appearance of my type of dark circles slightly, the concentration of vitamin C present in this eye cream is not specified so I’m not sure that it would be effective for that. I also was only able to test this for about two weeks before writing this review, so it hasn’t really been enough time for me to expect to see results.

Overall, it’s a nice eye cream that was pleasant to use. I think people with dark circles caused by pigmentation are probably the most likely to see a benefit from this product.
