[REVIEW] ALIVE:LAB Forest Fairy Ampoule

The ALIVE:LAB Forest Fairy Ampoule contains 99.8% Centella Asiatica Leaf Water which soothes acne-prone or sensitive skin. It also contains allantoin which moisturizes and protects skin, and dipotassium glucyrrhizate which has an anti-inflammatory effect. This ampoule is helpful in reducing acne size, minimizing redness and reducing the look of acne scars. This ampoule is also clinically shown to improve the appearance of blemishes.

My Thoughts:
This ampoule has a surprisingly lightweight and watery texture. While it is fragranced, I don’t find the fragrance of this ampoule to be particularly noticeable or notable. Because it is incredibly lightweight, it absorbs very easily into the skin. It leaves a dewy and nonsticky finish and layers well with other products.

I have been using this as my primary hydration step and it has done the job quite well. It has effectively soothed and calmed my skin and I have had a noticeable reduction in irritation since I started using this product regularly. Between my sensitive skin, daily tretinoin, azelaic acid, and vitamin C use, sprinkling in of other actives, and a constant stream of new products to test, I usually experience some degree of irritation frequently. Since I have been using this ampoule, any and all potential irritation has been kept at bay and my skin has been feeling happy and healthy.

Price Point: ~$10 USD to ~$30 USD for 52 mL. Right now you can get it from YesStyle for $10.20 USD, which is a pretty good deal in my personal opinion.

Repurchase? As you all know, my collection has grown to be a bit out of control at the moment, so I won’t be purchasing much of anything in the near future. I have been on a no-buy since January and I still have so much to get through! At the moment, as much as I enjoyed this one, I would probably repurchase some of my other soothing favorites first, but I will keep you all updated when the time comes!
